I think this is a spectacular program that not only educates and enlightens the parent of the effects of their decisions on a child, but also how to hopefully correct certain behaviors and negate the potential negative effects on not only the child, but the parents themselves. I can honestly say that having participated in the beginning stages of this program while incarcerated, it dramatically brought to light my attention toward the negative effects that my selfishness/foolishness was causing and having on my beloved children. Traveling through the course not only brought new and innovative styles and understanding to my perspectives, but it encouraged me tremendously, which helped to follow through with decisions made while incarcerated and in the program. Even if a parent has never been incarcerated, or even don’t have anything to be incarcerated for, I would still highly encourage participating in this program because the potential for positive growth and change is staggering.
